Venus Williams inches more like 23rd Grand Slam, achieves semi-finals
American Tennis star, Venus Williams has made it to her 23rd Grand Slam semi-last after an exciting win over Petra Kvitova in a last set tie-break early Wednesday.
The 37-year-old Williams won the Czech expert 6 3-6 7-6 (7-2) in an enchanting fight under the lights on Arthur Ashe to go one win far from the last of the 2017 US Open.
In spite of her misfortune, 27-year-old Kvitova can take awesome heart from her showcases in New York, which comes only nine months in the wake of being the casualty of a blade assault in her home.
“I was so blessed to win that match,” said Williams after the triumph.
